I went online on Expedia and started booking hotels. I emailed the guy about the tours in Transylvania and booked a hotel in Prague and Vienna to go with the one I had booked in Budapest. I tried to book trains from Brasov to Budapest and between Budapest, Prague and Vienna. I thought it would be easy to do, but apparently not. I could find timetables and prices, but nowhere to book the tickets. I can apparently buy them at the station anyway, so I will just take my chances that the trains that I want to get, will not be booked on the day. From what i can see it is not usually a problem.
Today, Sunday, I have arranged for my tour guide for Brasov to pick me up from Bucharest and we will drive to Brasov. Once there we will see the sites that I wanted to see and then stay in a Bed and Breakfast type accomodation in Brasov. Then I will see further sites the next day and leave for Budapest on the Monday.
I really don't know, what's to happen after Budapest. I have hotels booked but I may just cancel them and give up at anytime. Who knows, but with a new city and new challenge to look forward to every few days, it will be interesting if nothing else.
I am currently watching the Liverpool Vs Manchester City game and it is brilliant to be watching a Premiere League game in prime time and not sitting up till early morning. Anyway, I will keep you posted as things develop further.
