So Thursday, Friday and Saturday were pretty uneventful. I did the usual, Woke then slept, then woke, watched some football, watched other TV and slept some more. Miss C had family engagements.
At around 9:30 PM Saturday night, Miss C and Mr M came to pick me up. I tried to let them into the apartment but couldn't open the front door. I struggled with it for 5 minutes. Miss C called me and told me to throw the keys out the window so she could unlock it from the outside. I threw the keys out the window and I was a little concerned that they would be lost. They came back up and opened the front door.
After a few minutes, we left and went to a Lebanese restaurant. Mr M and I had the Kafka and Miss C had a Greek Salad ( I believe). The Kafka was nice but the chilli sauce on the top was slightly hotter than I expected. I can't remember how much it cost. Maybe 150 lei ($45.00 to $50.00 AUD). That's the funny thing about destroying your brain cells, You tend to lose the short term memory cells first.
After eating, we went out to a club named Red Dreams. It was a small club and as soon as I walked in, I thought it was small and dark'. The woman sitting at the bar greeted us. She was attractive with big breasts and a tight black dress. I didn't think too much about it at the time. We entered the back room and there was red curtains and felt all over the walls.
We sat at a table and the woman who greeted us came and gave us some drink menus. Me and Miss C ordered vodka's and Mr C had a coke. 5 minutes after sitting down, I looked up and saw a pole on a little podium area. "They have a stripper pole in here" I said to Miss C. She said "Yes, of course". Me not realising in it's entirety that I was in a strip club, replied "Do they have poles in all clubs in Romania". I don't remember what Miss C said but I think she found my ignorance amusing. Miss C went into the bar and came back and said "She is going to dance".
The woman that greeted us came in a few moments later and danced on the pole. She was very talented and agile. Mr M joked that he was in love and we all made some jokes about excusing ourselves to use the bathroom. Miss C commented, jokingly that she wanted to be the next one to dance. I joked if you get up there "I'd tip you with hundreds". After a couple of drinks, we ended up ordering a bottle of vodka, it would be cheaper that way. The bottle of 'Absolut' Vodka cost 500 lei ($150.00 AUD). I didn't care at this point in time, I was half cut and wanted to have a good time.
Mr M and I walked a few hundred metres down the street to get some cash from the ATM. I made a snowball and threw it at Mr M. After i threw it, and probably due to a few vodka's, I ended up slipping on the ice and getting completely airborne before landing on the hard pavement. Mr M burst into laughter and I followed, as he offered me a hand to get up.
We made our way back to the club. We returned to find Miss C and the woman in conversation, and Mr M told her about me slipping on the ice. She seemed uninterested. The bottle of vodka arrived shortly after along with complimentary cranberry juice. We were all drinking and at some point I could feel eyes burning into the back of my head. I turned toward the bar and there was some huge guy sitting there staring in our direction. I am not sure what he was looking at me (being a naive foreigner) or Miss C, but he had a grin on his face. I started feeling a little bit uncomfortable and feeling a little bit aggressive. Miss C and Mr M could tell something wasn't right. I told them about the guy staring at me and they tried to calm me down. After a few minutes, I forgot all about it.
In fact after that, the only real memories I have of that night are Miss C and the woman that greeted us dancing around our table. I don't really remember leaving or how we got home. I remember it was around 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM, when we got home and Miss C was in the apartment telling me she really had to leave and that she hoped she wouldn't have problems with her mother for being out all night.
It's like the saying goes, if you can't remember, then it must have been a good night.
